ZeniCOL is a high quality, sterile, non-hydrolyzed pure collagen dressing composed of 100% native bovine collagen. Collagen is used to promote angiogenesis, decreased MMP levels in chronic wounds, stimulate collagen deposition and formation of granulation tissue in the wound.

    Uses and Warning

    INDICATIONS FOR USE

    Management of full and partial thickness wounds including: Pressure Ulcers, Diabetic Ulcers, Ulcers caused by Mixed Vascular etiologies, Venous Ulcers, Donor and Graft Sites, Abrasions, Traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention, Dehisced Surgical Wounds, 1st and 2" Degree Burns Contraindications ZeniCOL Ag dressing should not be used on third degree burns or on patients with a known allergy or sensitivity to animal derived collagen, silver or any other ingredient.
    • Dry to Moist Non-Infected Wounds
    • Burns

    CONTRAINDICATIONS

    ZeniCol Collagen Dressings should not be used on infected or contaminated wounds or on patients with sensitivities to bovine origin. ZeniCol is an insoluble collagen and should NEVER be used as an injectable collagen.

    WARNINGS

    • Opened and unused ZeniCOL Ag must be discarded

    Storage

    • Store the product in a cool, dry place and avoid light.


    Application

    ZeniCOL Bovine Collagen Pad Dressing and Particles are used to promote wound healing and require a prescription for use from a medical provider.  Either side of the ZeniCOL Collagen Pad can be placed to the surface of the wound. Sterile Saline may be used to moisten ZeniCOL if the wound is dry. ZeniCOL Collagen Particles may be sprinkled onto shallow wounds or into deep, tunneling wounds. ZeniCOL is a primary dressing and must be secured in place with an appropriate cover dressing as instructed by your medical provider. Opened and unused of ZeniCOL must be discarded.
